Ipswich Moving Company’s School of Dance

Bright Happy Power offers one annual student scholarship at the Ipswich Moving Company’s School of Dance. This memorial scholarship allows one young artist to explore her/his creative and expressive side, and engage in the healthy development of body-mind connection.

Ijess_jenny_maypolepswich Moving Company’s School of Dance offered therapeutic instruction to Jessie Doktor during her years on treatment, and gave her the freedom to forget cancer and just be a little girl moving without restraints or pain. Jessie’s older sister Sarah Doktor danced for several years in the school and was a member of the school’s performance group: Youth Dance Ensemble. She continues to dance while in college at Northeastern University.

Scholarship ecipients are usually selected by the Doktor family and the faculty of the Ipswich Moving Company School of Dance. If you are aware of a particular need, please contact Jenny Carlson to discuss the possibility of assistance.

Mark Warner’s Martial Arts Academy

Bright Happy Power offers one annual student scholarship at Mark Warner’s Martial Arts Academy. This memorial scholarship allows one young athlete to find an outlet for challenging circumstances and to explore healthy development of body-mind connection.

Mark Warner’s Martial Arts Academy offered therapeutic instruction to Jessie Doktor during treatment. She earned several belts in karate.

Bright Happy Power offers one annual scholarship to a student graduating from Ipswich High School, Ipswich, MA. Applications are available through the high school.
